CES Research Groups in progress are:

Globalization

Studying globalization — the increasing speed and extent with which goods, services, technologies, people, and ideas now cross borders — in the context of European integration.

The Globalization Research Group organized a one-day workshop at Princeton University in 2007 on Europe and the Management of Globalization. For more information, contact Sophie Meunier.

The workshop "Europe and the Management of Globalization", organized by Wade Jacoby and Sophie Meunier, was held on May 24, 2008 in Park City, Utah. The workshop schedule as well as draft papers are available here. The workshop was co-sponsored by the CES Working Group on Europeanization and Globalization.

The Working Group is now accepting self-nominations to replace Sophie Meunier, who is stepping down as the group's organizer after three years of service. Please write to ces@columbia.edu if you are interested. On behalf of its members, the Council would like to thank Sophie Meunier for her service to the organization over the past years. Together with Philip Nord she will co-chair the Council's next biennial conference in 2010.
